1988 Porsche 944 Turbo Suspension and Brake Conversion Now completed!

The completed setup on the rear as seen through the engine bay, along with the new chromoly racing axles.

The rear track increase from the Porsche trailing arms and the XXR 526 wheels gives quite the impressive stance.

The front wheels are now right where they should be.

Here is a shot of the front 4 piston brembo calipers, 300mm (12") disks, and 1.5" wheel adapter/spacers all installed.

The first half of the 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo suspension and braking system. Next will be to acquire the front spindles and hubs along with the drilled and slotted 300mm disks, and the 4 piston calipers. Once the front spindles are machined to fit, then it will be time for the wheels and tires.

Front hubs:

The 1988 front hubs have been purchased. As soon s I can get ahold of lanner from Vdub engineering these will be modified to accept type one bearings so I can mount them to the spindles. Also included in the kit from lanner is a bracket to mount the 944 brakes.

The new caliper adapters were a crityical piece of the puzzle.

The new porsche 944 turbo front hubs. Now to get them off to the machinist to accept the VW inner bearing.

Here with some scrubbing, the trailing arms polish up nicely...

The new 4 pot porsche (brembo) calipers have arrived.
